Why Choose Us

Why Use Regent for Felt Roofs

In Malvern, you are told plainly whether your felt can be repaired or needs re-covering, before any work is agreed.

Repair or Re-Cover Advice

You hear plainly whether a patch will hold or the felt has had its day, so your money goes on work that will last.

Deck Before Covering

Boards under the felt are checked for softness, and rotten ones are replaced before layers go on.

Three Options Compared

Felt, EPDM rubber and GRP fibreglass are all fitted, so a new roof is matched to how you use it.

Layers Fully Bonded

Each layer is bonded to the one beneath, with laps sealed so water cannot creep between them.

FAQs

Malvern FAQs

Do You Cover Malvern?

Yes. Malvern is one of the Worcestershire areas Regent Roofing covers, along with nearby Worcester, Pershore and Droitwich Spa. Call 0800 151 2875 with your postcode to arrange a visit.

How Do I Get a Quote for Felt Roofs in Malvern?

Ring 0800 151 2875 or email info@regent-roofing.co.uk, giving your postcode and what needs doing. The roof is seen in person before any price is given.

Can a Blistered Felt Roof Be Repaired?

Often, yes. A blister forms where moisture or air is trapped between layers, and isolated blisters can be cut, dried, re-bonded and patched. If blisters cover much of the roof, the layers have usually lost their bond and re-covering is the better option.

Why Has My Felt Roof Started Leaking?

Most leaks in felt roofs come from a cracked surface, laps that have lifted, splits where the deck has moved, or worn edge details. Water can also travel under the felt before showing inside, so the leak is traced on the roof rather than only from the ceiling below.

Does Felt Still Make Sense for a Flat Roof?

Modern layered felt systems are far tougher than the single layer of felt many older garages were given, and they suit plenty of flat roofs. EPDM rubber and GRP fibreglass are alternatives worth weighing up, and all three are offered, so the choice can be made on the roof in question.

What Is a Mineral Cap Sheet?

It is the top layer of a felt roof, faced with fine mineral chippings bonded into the bitumen. The mineral surface shields the layers underneath from sunlight, which is what dries out and cracks unprotected felt.
