uPVC Fascia Replacement
The fascia is the long board running along the eaves on the tips of your rafters, and the soffit is the horizontal panel tucked beneath it, closing the gap back to the brickwork. Together they seal the bottom edge of the roof, keep birds and draughts out of the loft and give the guttering a solid board to hang from.
Timber versions need repainting to stay sound, and once water gets behind flaking paint the wood swells, splits and softens. Rotten boards let rain and nesting birds into the eaves, and a fascia that has gone soft can no longer hold gutter brackets firmly in place.
Replacement starts with taking down the old boards, which exposes the rafter ends for checking and repair where needed. Freefoam uPVC fascias, soffits and bargeboards are then fixed in place, with vented soffits where the loft needs airflow, giving you a clean roofline that keeps its colour and never needs painting.
